Adam

pen name used by WakeYa

Adam is a pen name: the byline WakeYa uses for this blog. No real person stands behind it, and there are no credentials either, because we would have to invent them.

Who is behind it

WakeYa is an alarm clock app made by Inan Software OG, a small company in Vienna, Austria. The articles on this blog are written and published by WakeYa. We use one name so you always know whose voice you are reading, and we tell you it is a pen name, because anything else would be pretending.

Adam is not a doctor, a sleep scientist or a religious scholar, and never claims to be. There is no photo, because there is nobody to photograph.

How we write

  • Every factual claim links to its source: the original study, a review or an official body wherever possible. If we cannot find a source for a claim, the claim does not go in.
  • We say how strong the evidence is. One small study is not a consensus, and we tell you which is which.
  • Articles are researched and drafted with the help of AI, then checked claim by claim against the sources. AI makes mistakes; the checking is the point.
  • Pictures marked “AI-generated illustration” are exactly that. We never show generated people.
  • WakeYa is our product. When an article mentions it, it says so, and it never claims the app does something the research does not support.
  • On Fajr and prayer we quote the Qur’an and authenticated hadith with their references, and we do not issue rulings. For fiqh, ask a qualified scholar.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to [email protected]. We fix errors, and when a correction changes what an article says, we note it at the end of the article with the date.
